I’m based in the People’s Republic of Peckham, south-east London - but I’m portable! I travel the length and breadth of the country (and abroad) for my nearly-weds.

As long as you like! I always think, let’s not rush this: it’s the emotional heart of your day and the reason why everyone’s schlepped to be there for you. I typically write between 4,000-5,000 original words about you and your relationship (that's half a dissertation, blimey). So my ceremonies tend to be between 30-60 minutes.

We’ll have an intro call via Google Meet. Then when we’re working together, we can have our big planning session IRL in London or online - whatever you prefer. Interviews are online, over the phone, or via email.

Absolutely. I help all of my couples to write their own vows to each other. I’ve got a handy guide, plus you’ll each privately send them to me so I can make sure they align wonderfully. No stressing that one of you has gone hard on humour, and the other’s a mush-fest! I can also give your speeches a look and offer pointers and feedback, no problemo.

Of course. I’ve worked with translators to ensure the ceremony works in multiple languages; I’ve made ceremonies accessible for disabled and neurodivergent folks; and I’ve worked with couples and their loved ones to weave in religious, cultural or spiritual traditions.

No – celebrant-led ceremonies are not yet recognised in law in England and Wales. When people choose a celebrant wedding, they usually get married legally at a register office in the days or weeks prior to their proper big day. That gets the formal, paper-signing bit out of the way and costs around £60. Then we can have our beautiful, personal ceremony, exactly as you want it. Nope, I’m an independent celebrant – but I’ve had training and mentoring similar to a Humanist celebrant, from the lovely folks at The Celebrant Circle. Humanist celebrants won’t incorporate anything religious in a ceremony and while I’m personally not religious, I'm open-minded about weaving in spiritual or cultural traditions that are important to you, in line with my feminist and inclusive values.

Everybody deserves a glorious, totally authentic ceremony regardless of how much cash they’ve got. That being said, your gal has rent and bills to pay. But there’s a world in which both of these things can coexist, and I’d love it if we could create that world together.

My ceremonies are £1,200 (there’s no VAT). If you can’t afford one of my ceremonies but you think we’re an excellent match, please get in touch and let’s see what we can do. And if you can afford to pay more, I’ll set those extra funds aside to subsidise ceremonies for folks with more modest means – in particular, queer and trans people, or those without families to financially support them.

On travel and accommodation: anywhere within an hour of London is covered. Beyond that, I’ll ask for some petrol or train fare money. If I need to stay overnight due to timings or distance, we’ll discuss this plenty in advance. If you’d like me to join you for a destination ceremony, I can confidently say I am very pro (packing my bags as we speak); we’ll chat through travel and overnight costs.
